ClipCaster
 Adapted to the special demands of reporters and editors of audio broadcasting we offer ClipCaster, an easy to use and secure audio editor software.
ClipCaster allows easy and quick audio report production, including recording and cutting of audio material as well as providing reports. One essential feature of ClipCaster is the limitation to only the important functions for the desired field of work. No special technical knowledge of computers is necessary to work with the ClipCaster.
Every editing step is sample-accurate, without delay and can be done while playing or recording.
ClipCaster is approved to work at the WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) as a professional cutting system for a while, known by the name "eCutter".
 Recording
Audio-clips can be recorded via your sound card. While recording you can set individual markers at important positions to be relocated easily when editing. In addition you can input text information such as title, first and last sentences of a presentation, even while recording
 Cutting
Audio samples can be cut or joined together quickly and very easily. You can edit volume curves, fades or you can normalize the volume level. All operations come into effect immediately while playing.
 Providing reports
Edited original samples (o-tones) can be arranged within a playlist to a report with commentaries. While playing the list of o-tones, you speak comments or translations simultaneously. O-tones and the recording will be joined together automatically, can be synchronized or embedded by volume controls.
Audio formats
Input and output formats Mpeg 1 Layer 2 and 3, Wav and AIFF are supported. In addition you can import all audio formats (as far as installed on the Windows system) via DirektMedia
Safety
All operations have an Undo function. A transaction protocol stores all editing steps to disk, so that even on a system crash your work will not be lost.
